कहां खप गई दो करोड़ नशे की गोलियां

नशा, इलाके में कितनी गहरी जड़ जमा चुका है, इसका अंदाजा इसी बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि एक अकेली दुकान में तीन महीने के दौरान दो करोड़ नशे की गोलियों की आपूर्ति हुई। नशे की गोलियों की इतनी बड़ी खेप कहां खपाई गई, इस सवाल का जवाब औषधि विभाग दो दिन की मगजमारी के बाद भी नहीं ढूंढ पाया। आरोपी अभी भी पुलिस से दूर है। फिलहाल मामले को लेकर सस्पेंस बरकरार है।

मेरोपेनम लगे 68 मरीजों की हुई एमजीएच में मौत


जोधपुर.शहर में नकली मेरोपेनम इंजेक्शन का कारोबार अक्टूबर 2010 में शुरू हुआ था। इस मामले के खुलासे के बावजूद अब तक यह स्पष्ट नहीं हो सका है कि आखिरकार कितने लोग नकली इंजेक्शन की वजह से मौत का ग्रास बने। पुलिस की मांग पर एमजीएच के खंगाले गए रिकॉर्ड में सामने आया है कि इस अवधि में अस्पताल में कुल 392 मरीजों को मेरोपेनम इंजेक्शन लगे। इनमें से 68 मरीजों की मौत हुई थी। इनमें पांच मरीज बीपीएल श्रेणी के थे, जिन्होंने उपचार के दौरान दम तोड़ा था।

Health ministry finalizing rules to curb indiscriminate use of antibiotics by adding Schedule H1

New Delhi , 3 Sept: Following the reports of indiscriminate use of antibiotics leading to cases of microbial resistance and resultant health hazards, the health ministry is finalizing the rules under Schedule H1 to control the use of antibiotics and is planning to notify them officially very soon.
The draft rules to amend the Drugs and Cosmetic Rules were already published and the feedbacks were being examined for finalization of the same, sources said, adding that final notification would be done after getting them vetted by the Law Ministry.

DCGI directs state DCs to strengthen regulatory control at retail outlets to ensure dispensing of drugs as per D&C Rules

Mumbai, 5 Sept: The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) Dr GN Singh has directed the state drugs controllers to further strengthen the regulatory control at retail sale outlets in the country to ensure that drugs are dispensed by the retail chemists in compliance to the provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Rules.
Concerned over the growing violations of Rules by the chemists and druggists across the country, Dr Singh asked all the state drug controllers in the country to direct the Drug Inspectors to make surprise inspections of chemist shops in their respective jurisdictions to ensure that the conditions of licences are complied with. "The Chemist and Druggist Associations in your States may also be sensitized to ask their members to comply with the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules to avoid action under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act for the violations of the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules made thereunder", the DCGI in his directive said.

APDCA contemplating legal action against Alkem, Celon and Seven Pharma for illegal misbranding activity

Hyderabad, 29 Aug: The Andhra Pradesh Drug Control Administration (APDCA), which had seized drugs worth Rs.45 lakhs from Alkem Laboratories for illegally involved in changing the labels of its brand from ALCLAV-625 to ALCLAV-FC, is contemplating legal action on all the involved parties which include Alkem Laboratories Ltd, Daman, Celon Laboratories, Hyderabad and Seven Pharma Ltd, Peru.
Earlier in April 2012, the APDCA had seized drugs worth Rs.45 lakhs (250,000 numbers of ALCLAV-625 tablets) from Alkem Laboratories Ltd for diverting its export consignment - meant for its distributor Seven Pharma in Peru - to Hyderabad’s Celon Laboratories and illegally changing labels of its original brand name on the strips from ALCLAV-625 to ALCLAV-FC.

DCC to examine the issue of stocking and dispensing of medicines by doctors

Mumbai, 28 Aug: The Drug Consultative Committee (DCC) will soon examine the provisions listed under Schedule K of the Drugs and Cosmetics (D&C) Act, with a view to control the practise of registered medical practitioners engaged in stocking and dispensing of medicines directly to the patients without licence. This move comes in the wake of increased incidence wherein doctors were found violating the provisions of the D&C Act by running parallel pharmacies to sell the drugs.

लुधियाना। थाना कोतवाली की पुलिस ने तालाब मंदिर रोड पर स्थित शरमन कांप्लेक्स में छापामारी करके एसके ट्रेडर्स के परिसर से 12 लाख रुपये कीमत का नकली कास्मेटिक का सामान जब्त किया है। इनमें फेयर एंड लवली, पॉड्स, गारनियर, रेवलॉन, लेक्मे, डव इत्यादि नामी कंपनियों के विभिन्न उत्पाद शामिल हैं। इस संबंध में पुलिस ने एसके ट्रेडर के संचालक कमल तनेजा के खिलाफ कापी राइट एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। 

Maharahstra, TN account for 36% of sub-standard drugs

NEW DELHI, 22 AUG: Almost one in three drugs (36%) found "not of standard quality" from across India last year were from Maharashtra (23%) and Tamil Nadu (13%) alone.
Around 9.2% of the rest of the sub-standard quality drugs were from Kerala, Gujarat (8.5%), Karnataka (7.2%), Uttar Pradesh (6.9%), Jammu & Kashmir (6.08%) and Rajasthan (5.8%).
