Kerala Court imposes fine on hospital for selling drugs from its pharmacy without licence

Chennai, 22 Dec: The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court at Nedumangadu in Thriuvananthapuram district imposed a fine of Rs.24,000 on the owner cum doctor of a private hospital at Venjaramoodu for violation of section 18 (c), Rule 65 (17) and Rule 65 (2) (3) of the Drugs & Cosmetics (D&C) Act and Rules.

Karnataka Drugs Control Department to recruit 100 new drug inspectors

Mumbai, 12 Dec: Karnataka Drugs Control Department has requested the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, (MoHFW) Government of India, to sanction the appointment of 100 new drug inspectors within the state. The approval for the same is expected within the next two to three days. The full fledged procedure is likely to be completed in next three months.

New drug policy to cut cap prices of 650 common drugs

MUMBAI, 9 DEC: Prices of 652 commonly used medicines under 27 therapeutic areas are likely to come down by 10-15% once the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Policy 2012 is notified, which is expected in a few days. The policy, which caps prices of essential drugs, was finalized recently after several twists and turns over the years.
It will cover a wide range of drugs, such as anti-infectives (Cetrizine), cardiac (Aten) and gastro-intestinal medicines (Ocid), pain-killers (Paracetamol) and anti-diabetic drugs (insulin).

Govt issues National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Policy, 2012

Mumbai, 10 Dec: The Central government issued the National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Policy, 2012 (NPPP-2012) to put in place a regulatory framework for pricing of drugs so as to ensure availability of required medicines – “essential medicines” – at reasonable prices. The policy provides for sufficient opportunity for innovation and competition to support the growth of industry, thereby meeting the goals of employment and shared economic well being for all.

RANGOLI COMPETITION BY BELGAUM SOUTH MLA SHRI ABHAY PATIL

Rangoli, also known as Kolam, is a folk art from India. Rangoli are decorative designs made on the floors of living rooms and courtyards during mainly Hindu festivals and also in events like competations.
BELGAUM:-( 9/12/2012) Shri Abhay patil (MLA SOUTH BELGAUM).organised a mega event "Rangoli Competition"on 9&10 dec.2012,in his constituency for females.

 From morning a huge participants started drawing Rangoli in front of their houses with filling colors of their confidence,concentration and joy.

To see this competition Rangoli fans from Kolhapur ,Pune,Inchalkaranji,Hubli and with huge crowd from Belgaum city attended and congratulated Shri Abhay patil and their team for this mega event.
        A team of our blog(Shri Pramod Mudhale,Gangadhar Saboji,Santosh Patil,Nandkishor Saraswat,Sanathkumar Patil) visited to all wards of  South Belgaum and took the pictures of Rangoli.
